Day 15: Favorite region in the Pokemon world

Whelp I lost 2 hours of sleep for this haha.

Hoenn has really scenic routes and such, with deserts, volcanoes, oceans, etc. However, in my opinion it comes second to Unova. Unova has pretty cool places, like a crystal cavern, cities, bridges, beach fronts…

The Royal Unova is pretty awesome. :>

Day 14: If you were a gym leader, what would be your specialty?

I’d be a Water-type Gym Leader because apparently to be one, it’s a requirement to look fabulous. Yea…

Day 13: If you lived in the Pokemon world, what would you be?

worst effort lol. But I’m really behind and I only just managed to scrape some time.

If I lived in the Pokemon world, I’d totally be a boss and be a Ace Trainer. Out of everything else it fits me the most :s

And then maybe when I’m middle-aged I’d become a PokeFan harrharr.

Day 12: Favourite Pokemon attack or move

Wow am I behind, gotta catch up. Also this is tribute to koolaid-girl for her inspirational drawings. Hope you don’t mind!

I’m a sucker for signature moves. That video has MOST of the signature moves (they don’t even have Heart Swap!), and I gotta say they all look pretty awesome.

I suppose the move that started it all was Ho-oh’s Sacred Fire all the way back to Gold Version. That attack was so powerful, and still is. 100 BP and a 50% burn chance? Hell yea!

Oh, and Thomas, Hyper Beam was the shit back in RBY. Looked and sounded so powerful and awesome :o

Day 11: Favourite new Pokemon from Black & White

I’m a bit behind now, but here we go!

Out of all the new and exciting 5th gen pokes, the one that has probably captured my heart is Scraggy. Unique typing, awesome abilities, interesting movesets, and most importantly is that it’s LEGEN-WAITFORIT-DARY. As in awesome. Which is what it is.

This background reminds me of Earthbound.

Day 10: Least favourite Pokemon type

Trying my own hand at this painting thing. I don’t think people usually use MSPaint haha.

Sorry Rock pokes, you’re cool and all, but I just don’t like the type itself. Weak to the very commonly-used Water attacks, the only good, offensive Rock move Stone Edge has shaky accuracy, Stealth Rock being a bitch…

Nope, not a fan of Rock types :x

O yea happy 4th of July! My friends and I went to Sensation and we saw these guys waving the American flag around. People were staring as we sang the national anthem haha

Day 09: Favourite Pokemon type

I was practicing figure and gesture drawing because I realized I was so out of practice, so this was a quick thing I whipped up. Pose from Brawl.

Anyways my favorite type has changed throughout the years. First in RBY it was Psychic, since they just kicked everyone’s asses. Then I was very fond of Fire types because of Typhlosion and Ho-oh. After that it became Electric because they only had one weakness and was generally very powerful. Finally, I find myself drifting towards Fighting types. They have sweet designs in general and have incredible powerful attacks.
 

Day 08: Most amusing Pokemon

That cloud I used a reference from Super Mario Bros.

It was still Saturday when I posted Day 7 in China, and right now it’s Sunday for Day 8, so it’s all valid :>

I love Probopass, it doesn’t deserve the hate that it gets. I mean, what’s to not like about it? It’s funny, has adventures, very athletic, enjoys go-karting, is environmentally-conscious, and is interested in stargazing.

I love its design so much. I think that for Pokemon to have extremely different styles and shapes is what makes it so interesting.

Day 07: Most adorable Pokemon

Fff idk! I’ll just draw the pictures of two of my favorites from Day 1 of this Pokemon Challenge. Every picture is 300x300, so this one is 300x601 (you remove the middle the separate into two 300x300s)

Togekiss and Mantyke! Very cute. Very kite-like. Hence the picture haha.

I like Mantyke because it’s the pre-evo of the derpy Mantine, and also it has a smiley face on the back (8

Togekiss is my favorite evolution of past pokes in the 4th gen. I loved using Togekiss, because its Serene Grace and Air Slash was incredibly fun for me to use haha. Yea not really that much to say for this one today.

Day 06: Most terrifying Pokemon

My god, this Pokemon’s Pokedex entry from Ruby version: SHEDINJA’s hard body doesn’t move - not even a twitch. In fact, its body appears to be merely a hollow shell. It is believed that this POKéMON will steal the spirit of anyone peering into its hollow body from its back.

There are other Pokemon with honorable, creepy mentions, such as:

Gengar: On the night of a full moon, if shadows move on their own and laugh, it must be GENGAR’s doing.

Haunter: If you get the feeling of being watched in darkness when nobody is around, HAUNTER is there.

Glalie: GLALIE has the ability to freely control ice. For example, it can instantly freeze its foe solid. After immobilizing its foe in ice, this POKéMON enjoys eating it in leisurely fashion.

Shedinja just happens to be the most memorably terrifying for me.

Day 05: Favourite legendary Pokemon

I don’t spell “favorite” with a u.

Anyways, my favorite legendary is the mascot of Gold! Although, Reshiram was REALLY up there, I had to decide for a bit which I liked better.

One thing in common is that they both sorta have a feminine style. I know I read in an interview that Reshiram was designed to be the Yin, the female. So it has more graceful features compared to Zekrom’s sleek and masculine design. Ho-oh has a very decorative designs and palette too. I guess that just kinda rocks my boat :/ Not consciously though.

Sacred Fire is such an awesome signature move, and Regenerator will be a very handy ability compared to Pressure. Reshiram’s got sweet signature moves too though, and Turboblaze is sexy. Hmmm… 

Oh yea I accidentally clicked when my picture was done and marked it on its eye. I think I like this version better actually:

Day 04: Favourite Eeveelution

What I learned from drawing Pokemon is that I can’t draw animal anatomy haha. I loved Psychic types when they kicked ass, and Espeon was my new favorite Psychic when Gold came out. It also replaced Jolteon as my favorite eeveelution as well.

Now he gets Magic Bounce! Much better than Synchronize. :>

Day 03: Favourite starter Pokemon

Cheating because I can’t name just ONE starter who is my absolute fav.

Chimchar!

Actually the least favorite base form of my three choices, but Infernape is absolutely legendary. I feel in love with its design instantly. Sun Wukong? I’m sold. So Chimchar definitely makes the list.

Piplup!

Grew on me over time. I especially love Piplup and Empoleon. Very sleek and awesome design. Not too much to say here. Maybe I’m just biased towards penguins.

Bulbasaur!

First gen represent! Squirtle was actually my first starter since it was on the cover of my Blue Version. charmander never really appealed to me since Charizard was super popular, and so I grew to really like Bulbasaur.

I feel like I should go back to Day 1 and draw Pichu, Scraggy, Mantyke, and Togekiss.

Day 2: Least Favourite Pokémon

To be honest there is not a single Pokemon that I utterly hate. Super cheesy alert, but I honestly enjoy every design out there. So it was pretty hard to choose, but I guess I’ll go with Lumineon, and as an extension Finneon as well.

It’s just…when you’re playing DPPt, you have all these great designs and exciting new pokes, and then when you’re decently far in the game this little guy comes up. It’s just like…um okay, you’re just a water type? That’s it? It just doesn’t bring anything special to the table! If it was Water/Bug type that’d be pretty interesting, but no! Not even Quiver Dance afaik. Sorry, you’ve got to take one for the team. There is really nothing that sets you apart from other water-types.

Day 01: Favourite Pokemon

Honestly? Pikachu. My favorite ever since I first started playing. He’s been on my teams at least three times now, and not once did I ever evolve him. I don’t know why you would anyways, since you lose out on the Light Ball for a bit more bulk…which still doesn’t help all that much.

Anyways close calls were Pichu, Mantyke, Lucario, Scraggy, and Togekiss.
